We have seen a large increase in bookings for our 3 Day First Aid at Work courses for this year so thought we would tell you all about the course. What is covers, how much it is and all other bits.

TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) – 18 Hours contact time plus breaks, Nationally recognised and certificated once passed. (Valid for 3 Years) 

The purpose of the  First Aid at Work qualification is for the learner to attain knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of workplace first aid solutions.

Our experienced trainers will take you and your colleagues through the Awarding Body assessment criteria, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your business will meet the legal requirements for First Aid training.

3 Day First Aid at Work Course Content

Unit 1 – Emergency First Aid in the Workplace
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Be able to assess an incident
  • Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
Unit 2 – Recognition and Management of illness and Injury in the Workplace
  • Be able to conduct a secondary survey
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints
  • Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
  • Know how to provide first aid with suspected chest injuries
  • Know how to provide first at to a casualty with burns and scalds
  • Know how to provide first aid to a  casualty with an eye injury
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
  • Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness

Who attends these courses?

The First Aid at Work course is for anyone that wants a thorough understanding of First Aid to cover Emergencies in the workplace and also illness and injury. We have many sectors that attend this course including those working in Construction, Local Authority, Nursing homes, Schools and Colleges, Leisure and Fitness, Manufacturing and Retail and Hospitality.

This qualification is accredited by TQUK.

TQUK is an Awarding Organisation recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England and CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland.

Costings:

Inhouse course (We come to you, anywhere in the UK) £1575.00 ex VAT for up to 12 persons.

Courses for Individuals (You come to us in High Wycombe) £250.00 ex VAT per person.

We are running a 3 Day First Aid at Work course in High Wycombe for individuals to attend on the 26th – 28th February 20249am – 4pm at Wycombe Judo Centre, Barry Close, High Wycombe, HP12 4UE.
